Volker Strycek for Team Gubin writing history

With the first Deutsche Produktionswagen-Meisterschaft (DTM) season in 1984, Volker Strycek won the overall championship in his BMW 635 CSi for Team Gubin without even winning one race. During the final race of this first season he ended on a fifth place at the Nürburgring but couldn’t manage to keep the championship title in 1985. Team Gubin stopped in 1988, but winning the first DTM season kept their name high in the history ranks.
